Too late, but yesterday I upgraded kernel to 2.6.12.2-1 too. As usual, after reboot it didn't log into X because it was missing nvidia module. So I did pacman -Syw nvidia to redownload the nvidia (1.0.7667-2). After switching to runlevel 1 and trying to pacman -S nvidia, it showed me too that I should close any xserver running. But there was none! I tried it again, this time booting from grub directly to runlevel 1 but the same happened. Now I'm forced to use the standard nv driver in xorg.conf. Did you solve this problem somehow? Thanks _______________________________________________ arch mailing list [email protected] http://www.archlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/arch
