I tried the same but it displays the username and ask for password even after entering correct password it says username not found.. same username and password works with VSS client

Copy the command line Ant is trying to execute to a new command prompt
(DOS session) and see what happens.
Paste this on a new command line:
ss Get $/Projects/KTI/GPiS/Sources -GLD:\root\tempVSS -I- -R -W -Ygupta,vij
