So does 4.0.4 fixes the issue? If yes, I think you cannot say that Google hadn't acted in a reasonable amount of time.
I've had my Galaxy Nexus for a month or so, and you are the first time I've even heard of the issue, not alone experienced it. Then again, I don't really do heavy gaming on it.
