Steven Thanks for the suggestion. I mv'd ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok and fired it up again: no change. When I mv'd ~/.kde/share/config/amarok_homerc and relaunched, all worked - that did the job!! Thank you so much. I didn't even realise the */config/amarok_homerc existed to be honest. Just by the by, any ideas on why this would have become corrupted? Thanks a million - I can now use my favourite music player again!!
