I'm one of the many who seems to be afflicted with bug 266403:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=266403

I'm running Archlinux. I'm unable to use my iPod with Amarok because it is
currently being detected as a mass storage device. I understand this is
likely due to a move by KDE from hal to udisks.

So it's been weeks since I've been able to use my iPod with Amarok so today I
decided to pursue a solution. It seems to me like this could be fixed by a
simple udev rule but after 9 hours of banging my head against the keyboard
I'm unable to find such a magic rule. I was hoping somebody could help shed
some light on this.
