My exclude lists are added in the dumptypes rather than on each DLE.
I have the line
exclude list optional "./amanda-exclude-list”
which means it is fine if I DON’T have an exclude file. And when I do,
it goes at the top directory of any DLE, which is usually the top of
the disk.
So (a) they all go in the same relative place and
(b) I usually SEE the file when looking at a disk prior to replacing it,
cuz it’s in the tippy top directory (where usually only ROOT can write).
For what that helps, if it helps anyone.
