Hey everyone, I just wanted to post a brief announcement about the
Vancouver Polyglot {un}conference, an event at was at least in part
inspired by ALT.NET Seattle (specifically the part where someone said to me
why doesn't ALT.NET Vancouver do an event so people have an excuse to road
trip). Anyways we've decided to make it entirely non-denominational,
something I know will appeal to all here.
There are already Github and Erlang tutorials planned for Friday.
@briandorsey may also be doing a "code an HTTP server from scratch" session
as well and there may be one more. Saturday is the open-space and Sunday
they *may* be an all-day Hackathon, we are working out the details for that
still.
Oh and there will be an "out on the town" downtown Vancouver sort of
pub-crawly thing Saturday night with free drinks and such. Which should be
a lot of fun.
Anyways, I wanted to extend a personal invite to all of you and just say
that we really are looking forward to seeing you guys up here.
