Thanks Mark for the answer. Yes, that was a good answer, because i compiled 
almost any binary in my old woody installation. I moved that directory, but 
some other horrible errors came up. 
        So i used ...

$ rm -f /usr/bin/gcc
$ ln -s /usr/bin/gcc-3.2 /usr/bin/gcc

        and the mismatch disappear. I think i can live with that :-)
i will try to compile alsa with gcc 3.3.3 in the future.
