Guys,
Im a total newbie to linux and im running RH 7.3 with a Aureal Au 8810 soundcard.
I just cant seem to get the sound work in any circumstances.
can someone please tellme whether, this Alsa sound utility will help?
I tried installing it but while trying to configure i get this error:

[root@worldnet alsa]# ./configure

failed (probably missing /usr/src/linux/include/linux/version.h)

Can someone please help me out?
