But I don't want VLC to play "everything"...I just want VLC to play this video
(which it had been playing before) so what must I do to make this happen?
Thanks,
Tom Kaufman

Winamp will play some videos. However I can never get it to select any but the
first track in any audio/video container. VLC will play nearly everything and
it's easier to select audio tracks within the audio menu.

You will indeed want to set the file association to be vlc. You can do this
from within vlc, in the simple preferences dialog. However, I'm not sure how
accessible that particular area of the interface is. He preferences dialog is
unfortunately a bit of a frustrating experience for screen-reader users, though
things can still be done with it. Anyway, I think it's better, especially if
you have Windows 10, to do this from within Windows itself rather than trying
to get programs to make changes to the operating system. Look for "default
programs" in settings and you will find it.

Hamet: I think there may be some way to play videos in ?Winamp, but if so, I
don't remember! But yes...VLC used to come up when I would click this video!
So then where (in VLC) do I go to make this happen? To answer your other
question: I've had Winamp on my computer forever (and it ain't gonna get
removed as I like that player) but VLC does play videos; it's just that I want
VLC to come up (with this particular item) but I want Winamp to play my MP3s!
I do appreciate your response!

Um I'd say set VLC as the deefalt for that type of video, but it use to come up
you said. Hmmmmm did you just instal Win Amp? Maybe it overrode your settings.
Now I find it odd Winamp isn't giving you video though.
Can Winamp not play vids?
