It dawned on me what Logvinovich is doing. Something else I was working on a while back. Your AI bug finder missed the bigger picture. Universal indexing, but he’s using binary registers. He’s lays an index on the physical geometry to connect physics, math and software, a dimension reduction to 2D. From the index points he tries to generate the math physics, he constructs the periodic table by projecting it using generative grammar. AI found bugs at the points and some of the math might be incomplete or wrong. But some of this is unknown anyway. For example in this paper he attempts to describe the fine structure “running” constant starting from the symmetry break at 136, then to the next register +1, then some mathematical reasoning on Dirac singularities and conjectures that the asymptotic freedom of the electromagnetic register is the monotone decay of its Hamming weight and the 0.036 offset is the low energy shadow of it’s running. It’s a conjecture. https://zenodo.org/records/22882422 The index is like a database index but it’s a mathematical index. If you get the indexing right you can write the software. Physicists want new insight proofs into physics and software engineers want to write software to exercise predictions on the physics. A physicist looks at it and says “Oh there’s nothing new here”, yeah, he’s doing your job. Physics isn’t a silo. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T25fb5a030fcfa28e-M61464e3afda24ce4f7f2048a Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
