There is no SLA for just firmware updates.
So if I want a firmware update say over a year after purchase how much
would that cost? If I must have SLA to do that how much is that?
Matt, I am a skeptic too, and it's always wise to watch vendors for slippery
language, but I can tell you the company I work for does not have SLA and
nobody is charging us for firmware updates.
My only complaint is that I have to ask for them rather than having them
available online whenever I want.
Thanks Adam. As I understand there is another server you 'can'
purchase to do authentication. Without it you just put the SM MAC or
something manually in each AP and its limited to 50, is that right?
What is the cost/costs of the server to do this to overcome 50 limit?
I don't have prices at hand. If I did, I wouldn't be at liberty to
share them. My understanding is that whether you use the built in EPC
or the appliances you still license it per user. In our case, I don't
have any EPC because we're running WiMax firmware which uses a
completely different mechanism.....which we still pay for. I imagine
you'll have to hit Patrick for the breakdown.
