Also the assumption that a small ISP can’t run DNS servers that can handle the 
load (it’s not difficult).  The only argument I can see is that Google or 
Cloudflare has a bigger user base and is more likely to have results cached.



They never seem to offer any evidence that ISPs are actually tracking you 
though your DNS queries or manipulating the results, they just assume because 
it’s technically possible, it must be happening.  Throw in a little “all ISPs 
are evil” bias.  It reminds me of all the warnings about public USB charging 
stations and “juice jacking” despite no actual reports of this happening.
