Does this sound like war to you? And having protests is anarchy? I
agree that whoever put the stop sign through the front window went too
far, but really does that compare to running people over with a car?

I haven’t read the NY Times for something like 10 years, but I
remember Nicholas Kristof as living in rural Oregon outside Portland,
although his reporting was mainly international. (Each year he has a
contest for a college student to accompany him on a reporting trip to
the developing world.)
So I did a quick search to see if he has said anything about Portland,
