Thanks for the information.I wonder if there is a difference with 4.3.5 vs.
4.2.5 that is enabling the build on RHEL8?
>From my output.log I get some items that I am not sure of:
- "error:expected ';' before 'if'" - "'error' was not declared in this
scope"
- Getting that the g++ linker (/bin/ld) does not support shared libraries
(The GCC linker supports it - same binary /bin/ld)
- "error: ac_nonexistent.h: No such file or directory" - The last check
before configure returns the "unsupported system: none" error is 'checking
whether to enable ASan'. Result is no.
So based on the config, it is very hard to determine what configuration item
iscausing the "unsupported system".
