Patch #408 - 2026/04/12
* fix some gcc, cppcheck, clang and coverity warnings.
* fix a regression in patch #404 which prevented key-press/release
events from working with selection-related actions (report by Julio
Bacel).
* improve feature which retains selection/highlighting when screen is
scrolled (Debian #1128961, cf Debian #291787).
* fill in a few more special cases for Debian #1123877.
