OpenSUSE Leap 15.4 I use xterms a lot and am currently plagued by the message "No protocol specified" whenever I do anything with an xterm. There are many complaints about this message on the web, but apparently no explanations or solutions of the problem. Can such messages be diverted to /dev/null or equivalent, rather than their proliferation completely obscuring the content of the xterm I happen to be working with?
