I am using cinnamon, but it happens for gnome-classic too. So i don't think they are the culprits, specially that its the Xorg proccess that gets that much ram and not one of the session managers. same goes for lightdm, my display manager. my Xorg.0.log has: [ 21.412] (EE) open /dev/dri/card0: No such file or directory [ 22.321] (EE) AIGLX error: failed to open /usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so, error[/usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory] [ 22.321] (EE) AIGLX error: failed to open /usr/lib64/dri/fglrx_dri.so, error[/usr/lib64/dri/fglrx_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory] [ 22.321] (EE) AIGLX error: failed to open /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so, error[/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory] fglrx-updates only installed fglrx-updates: /usr/lib32/fglrx/dri/fglrx_dri.so fglrx-updates: /usr/lib/fglrx/dri/fglrx_dri.so is that maybe the problem? maybe grub is the problem, because record_failsafe is currently deactivated my be because otherwise grub cant mount my system. (also the Login Scene is in the wrong resolution and when i login into gnome-classic it says that way) _______________________________________________ [email protected]: X.Org support Archives: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg Info: http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg Your subscription address: %(user_address)s
