A application will typical see the _ICC_PROFILE(_xxx) in Xorg. But the
colour server replaces this for backward compatibility with a generic sRGB
on. So the application converts to sRGB and from there Compicc converts to
monitor space.
For applications which care, the native monitor space is still available.
But the have to communicate a bit with the colour server.
They can tell the colour server to opt out for a certain region in their
window and do then the color conversion instead by their own.
