In both cases, forcing them to use xvideo (overlay) results in errors like X11 error: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation) Textured video, in the form of "mplayer -vo gl", works fine, but of course is slower than realtime due to the lack of DRI. > Anyway, I'd love to see more details from you on what this bug is and > how to reproduce it.
