I have successfully enabled XAA/EXA with composite but unfortunately it did not speed up my xmame.
I have Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3100 (onboard, integrated) and I use i810 (chipset Q35) driver for it. Help me PLEASE to enable DGA on it. Great thanks for any help to all of YOU. --- On Thu, 1/8/09, Clemens Eisserer <[email protected]> wrote: From: Clemens Eisserer <[email protected]> Subject: Re: dga does't work correctly To: "xorg list" <[email protected]> Date: Thursday, January 8, 2009, 1:51 PM Which video driver are you using? You could try to switch to XAA, if you're using an open-source driver. - Clemens 2009/1/8 Pawel K <[email protected]>: > Hello > > It looks like DGA is not fully operational on my system: > I have the following in > > /etc/X11/xorg.conf: > SubSection "extmod" > # Option "omit xfree86-dga" # don't initialise the DGA extension > EndSubSection > > Xorg.0.log: > (II) Loading extension XFree86-DGA > > xdpyinfo: > number of extensions: 31 > ... > XFree86-DGA > ... > > I'm using the following versions: > xorg-server-1.3.0.0-r6 > xorg-x11-7.2 > mplayer-1.0_rc2_p27725-r1 > xmame-0.106 > linux kernel 2.6.25.14 > > When I launch xmame (as root) I get the following info message: > XDGAOpenFramebuffer failed > Use of DGA-modes is disabled > > When I launch: > mplayer -vo dga > > I get the follwing info: > [swscaler @ 0x8a49f40]using unscaled yuv420p -> rgb32 special > converter > vo_dga: Mode: depth=15, bpp=16, r=007c00, g=0003e0, b=00001f, not > supported (-bpp 15) > vo_dga: Mode: depth=16, bpp=16, r=00f800, g=0007e0, b=00001f, not > supported (-bpp 16) > vo_dga: Mode: depth=24, bpp=24, r=ff0000, g=00ff00, b=0000ff, native (- > bpp 24) > vo_dga: Framebuffer mapping failed!!! > FATAL: Cannot initialize video driver. > vo_dga: Mode: depth=24, bpp=32, r=ff0000, g=00ff00, b=0000ff, native (- > bpp 32) > VO: [dga] 400x300 => 400x300 BGRA > vo_dga: DGA 2.0 available :-) Can switch resolution AND depth! > vo_dga: Selected hardware mode 640 x 480 @ 60 Hz @ depth 24, bitspp > 32. > vo_dga: Video parameters by codec: 400 x 300, depth 24, bitspp 32. > VO: [dga] 400x300 => 400x300 BGRA > vo_dga: DGA 2.0 available :-) Can switch resolution AND depth! > vo_dga: Selected hardware mode 640 x 480 @ 60 Hz @ depth 24, bitspp > 32. > vo_dga: Video parameters by codec: 400 x 300, depth 24, bitspp 32. > vo_dga: Framebuffer mapping failed!!! > FATAL: Cannot initialize video driver. > VO: [dga] 400x300 => 400x300 BGRA > vo_dga: DGA 2.0 available :-) Can switch resolution AND depth! > vo_dga: Selected hardware mode 640 x 480 @ 60 Hz @ depth 24, bitspp > 32. > vo_dga: Video parameters by codec: 400 x 300, depth 24, bitspp 32. > vo_dga: Framebuffer mapping failed!!! > FATAL: Cannot initialize video driver. > > FATAL: Could not initialize video filters (-vf) or video output (-vo). > > Do you know what can be wrong ? > > thanks for any help
