Thank you Daniel, I've check my directory and /dev/tty2 is there. But I think it's a non existent device. About this virtual console, do I need to point the virtual console to my /dev/fb0? If so, how do I do it? I even tried ln to make the tty2 to my fb0. But it doesnt seem to work. When I do this it only throws me a fatal error saying "VT_ACTIVATE failed: invalid argument"
Thanks and best regards, Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Daniel Stone" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Leandro Galvez" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, November 14, 2008 10:24 AM Subject: Re: Xorg over Linux Virtual Framebuffer Driver > On Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 10:24:34AM +0800, Leandro Galvez wrote: >> Fatal server error: >> xf86OpenConsole: Cannot open virtual console 2 (No such file or >> directory) > > Normally I wouldn't reward posting four mails in the space of an hour or > something equally pathological (please never do that to anyone again), > but the problem is, at a guess, that your filesystem doesn't have > /dev/tty2. > > Cheers, > Daniel > _______________________________________________ xorg mailing list [email protected] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg
