Many things are hosted by X.Org in git and web downloads, but not officially
included in the X11R7.X releases, and this number is increasing, both due to
actions like 7.4's paring out of modules that weren't really being maintained
or supported, and new modules being added that aren't ready or aren't intended
to be part of the rollup releases. Some will be like the old x.org contrib
area - never part of the official sample implementation, just X related bits
we can afford to host git/tarballs of.
