This seems like a reasonable plan to me, although it does change the
API, and hence is nominally against the X server 'no ABI/API changes
after the merge window' policy.
I'd like our official API/ABI manager (Aaron Plattner) to weigh in on
whether this should wait for 1.13 or not.
It's a straight rename, right? I only care about the ABI, not so much
about the API. These changes are fine with me.
