Hey, Sorry if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find anything after a fair bit of research.
I'm looking for a fairly distribution/DM-agnostic (eg: will work with Gnome/KDE/XFCE/etc) way of registering a new URI scheme such as abc://name?data and for creating a Notification Area icon. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, -Keith
