Seems wrc has some trouble with UTF16. After converting explorer-cn.rc to windows codepage 936, wrc can load it. iconv -f UTF16 -t WINDOWS-936 -c explorer-cn.rc > x mv explorer-cn.rc explorer-cn.rc.old mv x explorer-cn.rc There's also some expressions that wrc considers invalid in explorer_intres.rc.
