It took me some time to sort my system out, but finally I got it. That sound was working at all when set to "OSS", was due to the cross- platform libao-0.8.5 which I had installed earlier and then forgot. With my next system setup, I swear, I'll take down a full documentation of all the projects/lib that I try. Thanks anyway. -- Juergen Wieczorek Hamburg / Germany
