I was Just asking what ReactOS is doing, not that they need change. ReactOS is different in this respect, I agree.
Is ReactOS's format the same as Windows. or do you have your own Binary format?
We use the a Windows registry format, but since some field haven't been reversed yet it is not 100% compatible... ;-) The registry files are mapped as sections in memory along with some other control data stored in non-paged pool.
