I haven't been convinced by your arguments, but I also don't think there's anything more to say. We'll add whatever prose you want on the subject of mandatory CSD to the protocol. We've always been able to abuse the letter of the law to get what we want anyway - sway sets all windows to maximized so they listen to our pleas for being sized a particular way, for example. I'm sure that clients that don't want to implement CSD will continue not to no matter what we put in the protocol.
