DRM can do (almost) arbitrary modes as far as I know, if you compute
them with a generic formula like CVT or GTF, but I don't think we want
to use that automatically. I see it more like, that if the mode list is
missing some modes the user wants, he can add them to the list. I'm
just not sure generating those automatically from arbitrary surface
sizes is a good idea, as it has a lot more potential to break. The
monitor might not be good with arbitrary modes.
