Just as a heads-up for now: the change to libinput as default backend had some unexpected fallout in the calibration code. Long story short, the calibration as used in weston without libinput requires the translation component of the calibration matrix to be in pixels. That's not something we can do in libinput. This also breaks the WL_CALIBRATION handling. We're working on a solution, but that solution will also require some extra patches to Weston and to make it work we'll need to update both libinput and weston at the same time. Bug number is https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82742, patches will be on the list when ready.
