I'm not sure that I like ignoring m4 completely. If we ever do put anything useful there, it would be good to make sure it doesn't get forgotten. In the wayland repo, we have a m4/.gitignore that ignores the 5 files that matter. Copying that one might be a better idea. --Jason Ekstrand
