we have seen this before with xorg servers, it's usually found that some
dependancy for the driver concerned has been updated, but the driver
itself hasn't been rebuilt to suit, usually fixed by either recompiling
the driver (if possible) or stepping back the dependancy.

Did make clean and git pull of xserver and xf86-video-wlshm, rebuilt and
installed both, and the result is the same. Anything else I should do?

Try this xorg-server

With this wlshm
http://git.sardemff7.net/wayland/xf86-video-wlshm/

If you have an Intel card, this Intel DDX is useful too
