fwiw, you can just quickly test if things work by building libinput and running
sudo ./tools/event-debug, optionally with --verbose
That only prints the events but should show you the right size of the touchpad
now and it'll be easy to check if palm detection really swallows the events. Of
course you need to make sure the hwdb is built first.
