Will it be sufficient for the fix to just remove installed stable
version of virtuoso and install the newest version 7.2.2 after it has
been released with using the same .db file or do we need to make a quad
dump and import the data to clean newer version of virtuoso again?

A fix for this error was made after the late stable/7 branch release
in June 2015 and thus is in the develop/7 branch, which is to become
the 7.2.2 stable/7 release scheduled for this week. So I would suggest
testing with develop/7 or wait for the new stable/7 to be made …

made a quad dump of the previous database and imported all the data to
new virtuoso. When we started our process against the new database got
an error on insert after about 1000 named graphs were added, with
approximately 40 triples each:
SQL Error: XXXXX : COL..: Insert stopped because out of seg data here or
elsewhere host 0 key RDF_QUAD slice 0
No error was logged to virtuoso.log file. Made an integrity check and
that passed successfully, indicating that the database is intact.
Removing the installed virtuoso and installing it again made it possible
to insert data again for some time. Unfortunately I didn't keep track
for how long or how many triples were inserted in that time. But it was
not longer than about 5 hours. After that the error occurred again.
The database contains around 6 billion triples and the machine has 119
GB of RAM.
What does this error indicate? Where can it occur, when the database was
not corrupted?
