Something that is more scalable than OFFSET is to compare on keys, so if
you ORDER BY a "key" node, LIMIT it, then add something to the query to
get just keys that are greater than the last one, you move the paging
logic out of the db and you get way better results.
This is a common tactic in the relational db world, see
