[Hugh] Do you mean OGC rather then OGS ? The Virtuoso SPARQL-GEO functionality 
is similar to OGC but using a different namespace and there are a few missing 
types. It is intended to map these directly to  OGC for compatibility as part 
of our work in the GeoKnow project. See the following deliverable on current
