We found a work around for the cert generation, but the authentication in
ODS with a Drupal WebID URI embedded in a certificate is still not working.
The SAN includes my WebID URI http://webid-demo.openspring.net/user/17#me,
and if you dereference this URI [1], you can see it's a foaf:Person
with a cert:key
value object of type cert:RSAPublicKey (and you have all the info you need
there). The foaf:Person also has a foaf:name and a foaf:mbox which you can
use to prefill my info. There is also a foaf:account relation linking to a
sioc:UserAccount, but it's not meant to be used here.
I've tried my Drupal WebID at http://web.ods.openlinksw.com/ like you
suggested and after a minute or two of spinning, I got a js popup saying
"The provided client certificate did not have an embedded verifiable WebID."
Note that my WebID works otherwise on all these services:
https://foafssl.org/test/WebId
https://resourceme.bergnet.org/test
https://my-profile.eu/
Steph.
