Thanks for you answer.

No, I'm not using the prebuilt windowns binaries. I've downloaded the
souce-code of VOS, compiled and installed on Linux. Then I followed
the *Post-Installation
Sanity Check* instructions from the Getting Started material and that error
ocurred, although the *make check* comand indicates that there's not problem
at all.

Indeed there's no *virtuoso.log* at instalation directory... probably I
haven't started the virtuoso server process yet. How can I do it?
