Hi Jan,
the machine is a powerbook (PPC/32Bit CPU/2 GB Ram).
You did not have to use libtool from darwinports as the glibtool from
the Apple development package is good enough.
i installed it because i was a little but confused about the required
versionnumbers of required packages for building
the server.
Thanks for pointing that out to me. We are working on some more
elaborate notes for porting. Our home page on sourceforge has now been
activated with the new web site:
http://virtuoso.openlinksw.com/wiki/main/Main/
For Mac OS X Universal builds, we will package a special version of
the libtool command with a couple of modifications, untill such time
that Apple fixes their code base.
thank you for this information. but at this point i only need build for
ppc32 machine. is it planned to provide precompiled
packages at least for your official supported platforms?
Yes we will produce binary installations for our official supported
platforms. This will be announced later on our virtuoso-announce mailing
list.
greetings from germany,
Patrick
