Using gvim 7.3 (2010 Aug 15) on Windows 7. For about a week or so I will suddenly lose the ability to use the escape key. I'll be happily vimming and it does nothing. I can use Ctrl-C and Ctrl-[. If I check the mappings it says that <Esc> is mapped to <Esc>.
I've been using this version of vim for at least a year if not longer. This isn't a new computer. I don't believe it's a plugin because I've tried running gvim without plugins. I'm guessing it's something else on my computer messing with Escape, but I can't for the life of me figure out another program that uses Escape to see if it's only restricted to vim. A reboot fixes the problem, but I'd rather not have to do that every other day (which is about the frequency of the problem). Any advice? -- You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist.
