In particular the keymaps make heavy use of two-key mappings similar to the use of "dead keys". I don't publish my session file, ~/Session.vim, but I'll mention that I finally decided to write it by hand rather than use mksession. This way all options are set by the vimrc (except the keymap for the one file which uses one), so if I change my vimrc the session file won't override it with obsolete settings.
