One of the tests in commit_tests.py is 'hook_test' which runs start-, pre- and post- hooks. So it appears that your build can run hooks. Not clear why you get a hang in your normal configuration. Perhaps one of the other Apache modules? If you attach a debugger (dbx?) to the process a stack trace might provide a clue. The stack trace will be more useful if you have debug symbols but your binaries may be compiled without. -- Philip Martin WANdisco
