Hi, We have been unable to make any further progress on attempting to root cause this issue. However reading the latest patch notes it appears that someone else may have independently found and submitted a patch for this issue.
The issue I believe to be the cause is documented here http://svn.haxx.se/dev/archive-2014-02/0113.shtml and has been applied on r1567985. Thank you to Vitaliy Filippov for the discovery!
