Subversion runs on all versions of windows from 2000 and up. You can find windows binaries here: http://subversion.apache.org/packages.html#windows The Apache Subversion community supports the latest two lines of releases, currently 1.8.x and 1.7.x. See http://subversion.apache.org/docs/release-notes/#supported-versions There are no fixed release dates, so it's impossible to tell in advance when a support period ends. If you switch to the current release line sometime before a new release line is made, then there is no reason to worry about support ever ending. Note that our community works on a voluntary basis, so if you require professional support with agreed response times etc. you should contact vendors who offer such services. There are several companies and consultants offering commercial Subversion support. Many of them are working closely with the community. Those vendors may also choose to offer extended support periods. (disclosure: I work for a company that offers such services.)
