Hi everyone, I'd like to point readers following Subversion development to the Hackathon announcement on our website: http://subversion.apache.org/#news-20130628
Hackathons provide an opportunity for the Subversion development community to meet in person and work together in the same location. They are usually very productive occasions for the project and play a big part in strengthening ties within the developer community. I'm particularly excited about the timing of this year's event, which should be very close to the release of Subversion 1.8 and the beginning of development efforts targeted at the Subversion 1.9 release. The event has a user-facing component as well: If you are interested in watching live developer presentations on the web, or listen to interviews, see http://www.elegosoft.com/en/company/start/svn-hackathon-2013.html The event is hosted by elego (my employer) and is co-sponsored and supported by various companies involved in Subversion's development. My gratitude goes to all sponsors for making this event possible, to developers and invited guests attending the event, and of course to users watching our presentations and perhaps follow up with difficult questions (the more difficult, the better :-)
