What makes you suspect subversion?  You do not tell us which client you are 
using or on what platform?

`revert` should have no effect on `ignored` files.

I have to suggest that netbeans probably considers the `dist` folder as its own 
preserve and is the likely candidate for `cleaning` those files whenever you do 
a clean (re)build.  It is very unlikely that any subversion client would be 
deleting `ignored` files (and if they are that should be considered a bug).

Can you modify your app to search for your support files in a way that you can 
configure to be somewhere else?
