Besides that, relocate assumes that the UUID is the same, not another, changing the UUID in the dump is the exact wrong thing to do, as it breaks relocate. The current working copy has data for version 1 to n from the old repo, which will get y+1 to z+n in the new repo, but is already present in the current working copy, with missing data for 1 to y, which was in the repo where the old repo has been dumped in. Don't do that, you need a clean checkout.
