Thank you Stefan for the reply. Unfortunately, I am having a much worse issue. After reinstall of 1.7, my machine runs out of memory out when I visit the repo-browser. TortoiseProc uses 25% CPU and constantly increases memory until it crashes. So, I can't download the new source from this avenue. If there is anything I can do to help debug, please let me know. I'm stuck :(

Get a fresh checkout with 1.7 and things should be fine.
