An issue has already been filed: http://subversion.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=3445#desc9 It seems like some patches have been committed, but the issue is not marked fixed yet. So apparently some problems remain? I've moved the issue into the 1.7-consider milestone so it gets more attention.
